How to Assign Cost Categories to DSC, HC and PMCA Contracts
Quick guide to cost category assignment for defence contract standards
Cost categories determine where amounts appear on your defence payment statements (DSC, HC, or PMCA). This feature eliminates the need to manually edit PDFs after export, ensuring costs are assigned to the correct sections automatically.
Steps:
- Navigate to the Cost Module in your project
- Click Contracts from the menu
- Either click the blue Add Contract button (top left) or edit an existing contract
- Select your contract standard (DSC, HC, or PMCA)
- Assign each cost item to the appropriate cost category that appears
- Complete the contract setup as normal
Result: Your contract costs will automatically export to the correct sections of your defence payment statements without manual PDF editing.
Cost category options by standard:
- DSC: Fee or Other Amounts
- HC: Contract Price or Other Amounts
- PMCA: Fee or Other Amounts
