Importing a Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 File

The new Schedule Module allows you to import a file from Microsoft Project and Primavera P6, significantly simplifying data entry.

  1. Export your Project Schedule as a .XML file (if using Microsoft Project) or .XER file (from Primavera P6).
  2. Navigate to the new Schedule Module in your Mastt Project and click on Import and then select either MS Project or P6.
  3. Add your file to the form, and then select the Tasks you would like to import into Mastt. Once you have finalised your selection, click on Import.
  4. Once you are happy with the imported Activities, don't forget to click Save!

Your Tasks will now be added as Activities in the Schedule Module.

Making Bulk Changes to Activities

It is very common that you will need to pull forward or push back activities as your project progresses. The new Schedule Module makes it easy to make these changes in bulk, so you no longer need to make the changes one by one!

CleanShot 2024-10-17 at 14.02.17

  1. Select the Activities you would like to pull forward or push back using the Checkboxes
  2. Click on Bulk Edit and then select Move Dates
  3. Customise the form to match the changes you are looking to make, and then click Move Dates.
  4. Once you are happy with the changes, don't forget to click Save!

The Activity Dates have now changed by the days or months you have chosen.

Using the new Visualisations

The new Schedule Module has 4 visualisations - Activities, Gantt, Worm, and Phases:

Customising the Visualisations is incredibly easy - select the visualisation you would like to edit and then click the Gear icon in the top right-hand corner.

Activities, Gantt and Phases

You can choose to hide specific Activities (on the Activities and Gantt Visualisations) and Phases (on the Activities, Gantt, and Phases Visualisations). You can also toggle on/off the lines showing Today and the Completion Date.

Worm

In addition to hiding specific Activities and Phases, you have significant control over the design of the Worm Chart. You can:

  • Change the width of the Worm and whether the Worm is wrapped to multiple lines.
  • Divide the Worm into Phases, showing one row per Phase.
  • Choose whether to show the Legend, Delay(s), and whether to only show the Months (MMM-YYYY instead of DD-MMM-YYYY).

Customising the Dashboard Tiles

Along with the changes to the Schedule Module, we have made significant improvements to the Dashboard tiles - allowing you to build dashboards that report the information your clients need to see.

Chart Tiles

We have added the Activities Visualisation as a Tile on the Dashboard, and all Customisations mentioned above are available for the Dashboard tiles.

Schedule Activity Table Tile

You can enable text wrapping within the tile settings (which is very useful if you have long Activity names), and you can filter on the new Icons.
