How to Share a Dashboard Link
Keep stakeholders informed with secure dashboard link sharing
Dashboard link sharing lets you give stakeholders visibility into project progress without granting full project access. Use share links to distribute live dashboard data to clients, asset owners, or team members who need to monitor progress but don't need editing permissions.
Before you start
Recipients don't need a Mastt account to view shared dashboards.
Share a dashboard link
Open the Share Link window
- Open your project dashboard.
- Click Share in the top toolbar.
- Select Share Link from the dropdown menu.
The Share Link window opens.

Choose a sharing mode
| Mode | What recipients see |
|---|---|
| Live View (default) | Real-time dashboard data that updates automatically |
| Snapshot (coming soon) | A static version captured at a specific point in time |
Invite recipients and create the link
- Select your sharing mode.
- Enter the recipient's email address in the Who has access field.
- Select the email from the dropdown suggestion, or type the full address and press Enter.
- Repeat to add more recipients.
- Select the Send an email notification checkbox to notify recipients directly.
- Add an optional custom message to provide context.
- Click Create Link.
The share link is generated. Anyone added to the Who has access list can now view your dashboard. Click Copy to copy the link to your clipboard, then send it to your recipients via email, chat, or other channels.
A Live status indicator appears next to your dashboard title, along with the number of people with access (e.g., 'Shared with 1 person').
Tip: Custom messages help recipients understand why they're receiving the link and what to focus on.

What recipients see
When recipients open the share link, they see your dashboard in view-only format with:
| Item | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Live indicator and Updated [time] | Whether the data is live and when it was last updated |
| View only label | That the dashboard can't be edited |
| Download PDF button | Exports the dashboard |
Recipients can view all data and download a PDF but cannot edit the dashboard or access other project areas.

Recipients who have a Mastt account will also find the shared dashboard in the Shared with me section on their Home page for easy access.

Manage access
After creating a share link, you can update recipients at any time from the Share Link window. The People with access section displays everyone who can view your dashboard through the share link.
Add new recipients
- Click the Share button and select Manage Link.
- Click Update Access.
- Enter the new recipient's email address in the Enter email to grant access field and press Enter.
- Click Grant Access.
- Select the Send an email notification checkbox if you want to notify them (optional).
- Add an optional custom message.
- Click Send Invite.
Resend an invite or remove a recipient
- Open the Share Link window and click Update Access.
- Find the recipient in the People with access list.
- Click the Action button beside their email address.
- Select Resend Invite to send the share link again, or Remove to revoke their access.
Note: If you select Remove, the recipient immediately loses access. Other recipients are unaffected.

Revoke a share link
To stop all sharing immediately:
Warning: Revoking affects all recipients at once. To remove only one person, use the Remove option in the Who has access section instead.
- Open the Share Link window.
- Click the trash icon (Delete Share Link) in the Shareable Link.
- Click Delete in the confirmation popup.
All recipients immediately lose access. To share again, create a new share link.

Troubleshooting and FAQs
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Why can't recipients see my latest dashboard changes? | Ask recipients to refresh their browser. With Live View, changes appear automatically after a refresh. |
| What happens if I revoke a link by mistake? | You'll need to create a new share link and re-add all recipients. The old link cannot be restored. |
| Why didn't my recipient receive the email notification? | Check that you selected the Send an email notification checkbox before clicking Create Link or Send Invite. Ask recipients to check their spam folder. |
