How to Use Dashboard Version History

View, preview, and restore previous dashboard versions in your construction project

Dashboard Version History lets you track changes to your project dashboard, preview previous layouts, and restore earlier versions when needed. This feature is useful when multiple team members edit the dashboard or when you need to undo recent changes.

Before You Start

  • Make sure your dashboard has at least one saved version (versions are created automatically when changes are made)
  • You must have edit access to the project to restore previous versions

Access Version History

Open the Version History Panel

  1. Navigate to your project dashboard
  2. Click the Action button in the upper-right corner of the screen
  3. Select Version History from the dropdown menu

The Version History panel opens, displaying all previously saved versions of your dashboard.

Understand Version Information

Each version entry in the panel displays:

  • Who made the change — the team member who updated the dashboard
  • When it was updated — the date and time of the change
  • Active version indicator — shows which version is currently live

This information helps you track updates over time and understand how your dashboard has evolved.

Working with Previous Versions

Preview a Previous Version

  1. In the Version History list, locate the version you want to review
  2. Click on the version to expand the version details
  3. Click the eye icon to preview the dashboard as it appeared in that version.

The preview shows exactly what the dashboard looked like at that point in time.

Restore a Previous Version

  1. From the Version History list, select the version you want to restore
  2. Click the Restore button

Your dashboard reverts to the selected version, which becomes the active version that everyone sees.

Restoring a version replaces your current dashboard layout. Your current layout is saved as a version in the history, so you can return to it later if needed.

How Autosave Works

All changes you make to your dashboard are saved automatically — you don't need to click a save button. Each save creates a new version entry in the Version History panel.

Troubleshooting & FAQs

Your current layout is automatically saved as a new version before the restore occurs. You can restore it later if needed.

Q: How far back does Version History go?
