How to Use Mastt in Your Language

Access and use Mastt in your preferred language through browser translation, custom labels, and multilingual content

Mastt's interface is in English, but you can translate it into your preferred language using built-in browser tools. You can also customise specific labels, enter project data in any language, and interact with Mastt AI in your preferred language.

Before You Start

  • Browser translation tools are built into your browser — no extensions or plugins are required
  • Translation applies to on-screen content only. Exports, PDFs, and email notifications remain in English

Translating the Mastt Interface

Most browsers will automatically prompt you to translate when they detect a non-English page. If the prompt does not appear, you can trigger translation manually.

Translate on Desktop

  1. Open Mastt in your browser.
  2. Use the translation option for your browser:
    • Chrome / Edge — Right-click anywhere on the page and select Translate to [language], or click the translate icon in the address bar.
    • Firefox — Click the application menu (☰), select Translate page…, then choose your language.
    • Safari (Mac) — Go to the View menu, select Translate, then choose your language.

Customising Names and Labels

You can keep Mastt in English while renaming specific elements — such as Dashboard tiles — in your preferred language.

Rename Dashboard Tiles

  1. Navigate to your Project Dashboard.
  2. Click the Action button on the tile you want to rename.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Toggle Custom title? to ON.
  5. Enter your preferred label in any language.
  6. Click Save. The tile now displays your custom label.

Big Number Tiles have a Heading field where you can enter a custom label directly — no toggle is needed.

Entering Multilingual Project Data

All free-text fields in Mastt support multiple languages. You can enter content in any language for fields such as contract names, budget line items, risk descriptions, and notes or comments.

No additional configuration is required — simply type in your preferred language in any text field.

Using Mastt AI in Your Language

Mastt AI responds in the same language you use to ask a question. To receive responses in your preferred language, type your question in that language. No settings changes are needed.

What Stays in English

Some content in Mastt remains in English regardless of browser translation settings.

  • Exported reports, Dashboard links, and PDFs — Browser translation only affects what you see on screen. Exported files are generated in English.
  • Email notifications — Automated emails (approvals, contract updates, task assignments, comments, and project invitations) are sent in English. You can translate them using your email client's built-in translation feature (e.g., Gmail, Outlook).
  • Some system terms — Certain terms such as "Cash Flow" and "FFC" may not be picked up by browser translation.

Troubleshooting & FAQs

Q: Why isn't my browser prompting me to translate?

Not all browsers auto-detect every page. Use the manual translation steps listed above for your specific browser. Ensure your browser's language settings include your preferred language.

Q: Will my translated labels appear for other users?

Custom Dashboard tile labels are project-level settings. Other users with access to the same project will see the custom labels you set.

Q: Can I translate exported PDFs or reports?

Exported files are generated in English.
