What is the Cost Overall Page?
Essential guide to the financial command center for construction project managers
The Cost Overall page is your comprehensive financial dashboard that provides a complete view of project budgets, contracts, change orders, forecasts, and payments all in one place. Use it to monitor your project's financial health and make informed cost management decisions throughout your construction project lifecycle.
Key Features
Cost Overview
The Cost Overview tile displays your Estimate at Completion (EAC) — the total expected project cost — alongside the Budget amount and a Budget Status badge indicating whether your project is Under Budget or Over Budget. A Variance amount shows the dollar difference between your budget and FFC.
Below, a color-coded horizontal bar provides a visual breakdown of payment status: Paid (processed), Approved (approved but not yet processed), Submitted (awaiting approval), and Remaining (unpaid).
Cost KPI Cards
Four key metric cards are displayed:
- Total Paid — Total amount paid to date, shown as a dollar value and percentage of budget.
- Change Orders— Total amount of all approved and in-principle change orders, shown as a dollar value and percentage of the original contract value.
- Committed — Total committed cost, calculated as Approved Contracts + Approved and In-Principle Change Orders. Shown as a dollar value and percentage of EAC.
- Remaining — EAC minus Paid and Approved payments, shown as a dollar value and percentage of EAC.
Hover over any KPI card label to see a tooltip with the exact definition of each metric.
Budget Breakdown Chart
A donut chart titled "Budget Amounts in Each Budget Line" provides a visual breakdown of your total budget by category. Each category is color-coded and displays its allocated dollar amount, making it easy to see how your budget is distributed across project areas.
Chart Settings
Each chart tile has its own Settings (gear icon) that opens a side panel for customization. The available settings vary by tile.
