Overall Page

The Overall Page gives a full financial view of your project - budgets, contracts, variations, forecasts, and payments in one spot. It helps PMs and owners track costs and guide spending decisions.

Key Concepts

  • Budget: The total financial resources allocated to a project
  • Current Contract: The sum of approved contracts and their variations
  • Final Forecast Cost (FFC): The total expected cost, including current contracts and uncommitted funds
  • Payment Progress: Visual representation of paid, approved, submitted, and remaining amounts

Step-by-Step Guide

Viewing Financial Information

  1. Navigate to the Cost Module in your project and you will land on the Overall page
  2. Hover over column headers to view descriptions
  3. Review the following key sections:
    • Budgets and Adjustments
    • Contracts and Variations
    • Forecast & Uncommitted
    • Final Forecast Cost
    • Payment Progress

Creating New Financial Objects

  1. Click the + ADD button at the top of the Overall Page
  2. Select the type of item to create:
    • Budget
    • Contract
    • Forecast
    • Variation
    • Payment
  3. Complete the required fields in the form
  4. Click Add to save the new item

Customizing View

  1. Hover over any column header to reveal the menu icon (three dots)
  2. Choose from available options:
    • Sort ascending/descending
    • Filter data
    • Hide/show columns
    • Pin columns left/right
    • Move columns
  3. Click RESET at the top right to restore default settings

Exporting Data

  1. Click the Export icon
  2. Choose from two options:
    • All Data: Exports complete financial summary
    • Current View: Exports data as displayed on screen

Generating Reports

  1. Click the desired dashboard that you want to open.
  2. In the dashboard that opens, you can:
    • Customize report parameters
    • Select and filter relevant data points
    • Choose visualization options
  3. Click Save to store the report configuration
  4. Click Download to generate a PDF report

Best Practices

  • Regularly review and reconcile financial data
  • Use filters to focus on specific cost areas
  • Keep budgets and forecasts up to date

Troubleshooting

Column Display Issues

  • Symptom: Columns appear out of order or missing
  • Cause: Custom view settings
  • Solution: Click RESET to restore default layout

Tips:

  • Hover over column headers for quick descriptions
  • Use the pin feature for frequently referenced columns
