How to Create or Duplicate a Project

This guide covers how to create new projects or duplicate existing ones in Mastt. Use project duplication when you have a template project configured with standard settings, cost centers, or data that you want to reuse across multiple projects.

Before You Start

• You must be a Workspace Administrator.
• You must have available capacity in your Licensed Project Quota.

Creating a New Project

1. Click your profile name in the top-right corner and select Admin.
2. Click Projects in the left-hand menu.
3. Click the blue + Create Project button at the top of the screen.
4. Enter a project name, optionally upload a project image, and click Next.

Configure Project Details (Optional)

After creating the project, the Project Settings dialog opens with the following tabs:

• Name & Photo — add the project name and upload a Homepage Thumbnail
• Project Information — add project details
• Location — set the project address and region
• Brand — apply your organisation's branding
• User Management — invite team members to the project
• Custom Columns — configure custom data fields

Click Save when you're done, or Cancel to skip.

Duplicating an Existing Project

1. Click your profile name in the top-right corner and select Admin.
2. Click Projects in the left-hand menu and locate the project you want to duplicate.
3. Click the Action button next to the project and select Duplicate.
4. Enter a name for the new project and click Duplicate Project.

Troubleshooting & FAQs

Q: What if the + Create Project button is greyed out?

You've reached your Licensed Project Quota. Go to Plan and Billing to add more project quota, or contact support to increase your limit.

Q: What gets copied when I duplicate a project?

Everything from the original project is copied, including all settings, configurations, structure, and actual project data such as costs, risks, and progress entries.
