How to Use the AI Template Studio for Dashboard Creation

Complete guide to AI-assisted dashboard creation for construction project managers

 

The AI Template Studio helps you quickly find and select the right dashboard template using artificial intelligence. Use this feature when you need to create professional reports or dashboards but aren't sure which template best fits your needs.

Steps

Access the AI Template Studio

  1. Click Start a Dashboard in the top left corner of your dashboard page
  2. Select AI Assisted from the options presented

The AI Template Studio displays all standard Mastt templates from the website plus templates specific to your workspace.

Search for Templates Using AI

  1. Choose one of three options:
    • Start from scratch
    • Select a template from the library manually
    • Use the AI assistant for template recommendations
  2. To use AI assistance, describe your needs in the search box
  3. Type your query (example: "I need a board report urgently")
  4. Press Enter to submit your request

Review AI Recommendations

  1. Review the three template options the AI presents
  2. Click Preview on any option to see a larger view of the template
  3. Read the template description to understand its purpose
  4. Click Close to return to the main selection screen

Refine Your Search

  1. If the initial recommendations don't meet your needs, enter a new query in the same window
  2. Example: "Provide more of a status report" for different options
  3. Continue refining your search until you find suitable templates

Get Additional Guidance

  1. Ask for presentation tips by typing queries like "Give me tips on how to present a dashboard"
  2. Use the AI as your personal dashboard assistant for both template selection and design advice

Select and Use Your Template

  1. Once you've found your preferred template, click Preview to view it again
  2. Click Use This Template to have Mastt build the exact template for you
  3. Begin customizing the template with your project data immediately

Result: You'll have a professional dashboard template ready for customization with your specific project information.

Tips for better results:

  • Be specific in your search queries (mention report type, audience, or key metrics)
  • Try multiple search terms if initial results don't match your needs
  • Use the AI for presentation tips to make your dashboards more professional
