You can make any Dashboard you have created into a Template, allowing all projects and programs to use a standardised report.
Once you have built a Project or Program Dashboard that you are happy with, you can add it as a Custom Organisation Template. This will allow you and your team to add the Template to your Projects and Programs quickly and easily, enabling standardised templates with minimal additional work.
The Template will save all customisations (including any filters, text added to tiles, or column customisations you have made) and apply it to the Dashboard you create.
Please note that Project Dashboard Templates cannot be applied to Programs, and Program Dashboard Templates cannot be applied to Projects.
Templates you create are only accessible to your Organisation. They are not available to other Organisations, even if you have provided them access to your Project or Program.
After saving the Dashboard you wish to use as a template, simply add ?template=true
to the end of the Dashboard URL. For instance, if the URL is:
.../projects/65cecc5221019d00261d21a2/dashboard
modify it to:
.../projects/65cecc5221019d00261d21a2/dashboard?template=true
and hit Enter to enable adding it as a Dashboard Template.
After the Dashboard reloads, locate and click on the Action Button () positioned in the top-right corner of the screen. Then, select either Save as Project Dashboard Template or Save as Program Dashboard Template.
You have the option to either provide the Template with a new name in the Form or overwrite an existing Organisation Template by selecting it. Once you have made your choice, click on Save as Project Template or Save as Program Template.
Overriding a Dashboard Template does not change existing Dashboards that were created using the old Template.
