How to Create a Cover Page Using Dashboard
Complete guide to creating custom cover pages for construction project reports
Cover pages help you create professional-looking reports and presentations directly within Mastt. Use this feature when you need to add branded headers, project summaries, or formatted introductions to your dashboard reports.
Before you start:
- Plan your cover page layout and content before starting
- Gather any logos, images, or text you want to include
Steps
Create a new dashboard
- Go to your project dashboard
- Click + Add Dashboard
- Name your dashboard (e.g., "Cover Page")
- Select Empty from the template options
- Click Create
Add a custom text box
- Click + Add Tile
- Select Custom Text Box from the tile library, then close the page by clicking the X in the top right corner.
- Resize the text box to fill the dashboard area as needed
Customise your cover page content
- Click the three dots on the Custom Text Box
- Select Edit Text
- Use the rich text editor to format your cover page:
- Change background colors using the color picker
- Add tables by clicking the Table button
- Format text with available styling tools
- Insert headers, bullet points, and other formatting elements
Add images from existing cover pages
- If you have an existing cover page from PowerPoint or Word, take a screenshot
- Copy and paste the image directly into the text box
- Resize and position the image as needed
Adjust print settings
- Click the three dots on the dashboard
- Select Settings
- Under Print Orientation, choose Portrait or Landscape
- Click Save
Result: Your custom cover page is now ready to use in reports and can be saved as a reusable template.
Save as template
To reuse this cover page design for future projects, save it as a custom template. This allows you to quickly apply the same branding and layout to new dashboards.
