How to Edit and Delete Budgets and Sub-Budgets

Before you begin, ensure you have:
- Access to your Mastt project with edit permissions.
- An existing budget or subbudget in your project.
- Clear details of the budget to edit or delete.

Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Editing a Budget or Subbudget
- Navigate to your project and access the Cost Module
- Click on Budgets tab
- Find the budget or subbudget you want to edit
- Click on the three dots (...) menu next to the budget/subbudget
- Select Edit Budget or Edit Subbudget
- Update the necessary details
- Once all changes are made, click Save to apply the edits
Step 2: Deleting a Budget or Subbudget
- Navigate to the Budgets tab in your project
- Find the budget or subbudget you wish to delete
- Click on the three dots (...) menu next to the budget/subbudget
- Select Delete Budget or Delete Subbudget
- Confirm deletion by clicking Delete in the confirmation dialog
Tip: You cannot delete a Budget that has Adjustments, Forecasts. Line Items, Allocations, Risks and Sub-Budgets against it. These must be moved or deleted to delete the budget.
Note: Once a budget is deleted, it cannot be undone. If needed, you will have to recreate it manually.
Troubleshooting
Cannot Edit or Delete Budget/Subbudget
- Symptom: Unable to edit or delete a budget/subbudget.
- Cause: Lack of permissions or project restrictions.
- Solution: Ensure you have the correct permissions and check for any project restrictions.
Changes Not Saving
- Symptom: Edits aren't saving.
- Cause: Missing required fields or session issues.
- Solution: Fill out all fields and click Save. Try refreshing or logging back in if the problem persists.
