Important Considerations

Parent Budget Deletion Restrictions

If the delete button is greyed out or not fully functional, this means the budget has sub-budgets, contracts, variations or forecasts attached to it. You must either move or delete all sub-budgets, contracts, variations or forecasts before you can delete the parent budget.

Status Changes

When editing budgets or sub-budgets, remember that status changes affect functionality:

  • Draft: Not functional until approved
  • Approved: Fully functional for contract creation
  • Closed: No functionality available

Troubleshooting

  • Problem: Delete button is greyed out Solution: Remove or reassign all sub-budgets, contracts, variations or forecasts first, then try deleting the parent budget
