Project Settings: Managing Project Details

Project Settings guides you through managing your project settings in Mastt, including updating project details, customizing branding, setting locations, and controlling user access to keep your project information organized and up-to-date.

Overview

The Project Settings area serves as the control center for your project's identity and configuration within Mastt. By properly maintaining these settings, you can ensure consistent branding, accurate project information, and appropriate access control for team members working on your project.

Prerequisites

  • An active Mastt account with project access permissions
  • At least one existing project in your Mastt workspace

Key Concepts

  • Project Settings - The central location where all project-specific information and configurations are managed
  • Workspace - An organizational container in Mastt that holds projects and users for a specific company or department
  • Custom Columns - Specialized data fields that can be added to your project (requires Mastt support)

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Accessing Project Settings
  • Log in to your Mastt account
  • Locate and click on the project you wish to manage
  • Click the three dots menu icon next to the project name
  • Select Project Settings from the dropdown menu

Alternatively, you can access project settings from the bottom left corner of the project page.

2. Updating Name and Photo

  • Click on the Name and Photo tab
  • Type a new name in the project name field if needed
  • Click Upload Image to change the project thumbnail image
  • Select your desired image file from your device
  • Click Save to apply the changes
3. Managing Project Information
  • Navigate to the Project Information tab
  • Verify your workspace (organization) is correct
  • Enter or update the project number if needed
  • Add or modify the point of contact information
  • Click Save to store your changes
4. Setting Project Location
  • Select the Location tab
  • Enter the latitude and longitude manually, or
  • Type the address in the search field to auto-populate the latitude and longitude fields.
  • Click Save to confirm the location
5. Customizing Brand Settings
  • Go to the Brand tab
  • Select your preferred font style from the dropdown options
  • Preview the outcome below to see how your choice will be displayed in payment letters.
  • Click Save to apply your branding preferences
6. Managing User Access
  • Click on the User Management tab
  • Add users from different workspaces as needed, or
  • Invite new users without existing Mastt accounts if required

7. Working with Custom Columns
  • Navigate to the Custom Columns tab
  • Prepare the extra column(s) you wish to add or modify

Contact Mastt support to request additions or deletions of custom columns

Best Practices

  • Update your project details regularly to ensure information accuracy
  • Choose a clear, professional project image that represents your project
  • Limit user access to only those who require it for their work
  • Review user permissions periodically to maintain proper access control

Troubleshooting

  • Issue: Changes are not saving.
    • Solution: Check your internet connection and try saving again
  • Issue: Unable to upload image.
    • Solution:  Ensure your image is in a compatible format (JPG, PNG)
  • Issue: Cannot see all the settings tabs.
    • Solution:  Contact your project administrator for access

Tips and Notes

  • Choose a clear, recognizable image for the project thumbnail.
  • Font styles selected in Brand settings will appear in all payment letters generated from your project
